About the Instructor

Hi, Welcome to Faith’s Way ISR!

Beth Lasoff

Hi - Welcome to Faith’s Way ISR! My name is Beth Lasoff, originally born and raised in Brooklyn, NY (yes, I’m a true Brooklyn-ite) and I am currently exploring where to land my roots abroad in Europe and I travel back home to NYC to bring the incredible ISR program to my community.

Now, why Faith’s Way? Besides being an ISR Instructor I am also a Certified Personal Trainer and started my business a decade ago in honor of my mother, Faith, when she passed away.  I continue to carry her with me and her honor through my business. I aspire to touch as many lives as possible through my varying career paths. Faith has many meanings to everyone, a word that holds connection, depth, healing, and love which are on levels beyond the surface. Faith is my mother with me on this journey as well as the faith I carry through this life changing work.

I chose to travel to Porto, Portugal for my training - hopes to it to be one of my future home bases. I had the opportunity to train with a talented Master Instructor, Estela Florindo and be connected to families who made my time abroad feel like home.   Now, why ISR? Well, I learned about ISR through close friends, who introduced me a few years ago, before I made the decision to go through ISR’s rigorous training to become an instructor. The experience has been rewarding in ways that I couldn’t imagine - seeing what the kids can do from the youngest of 6 months old - is astonishing! I hope to impact more families lives not only in NY, but also in England (Suffolk area), Portugal, and hopefully other European countries.  Traveling to bring ISR to families that may have never known the opportunity for their children to learn these life saving self-rescue aquatic skills is what I aspire to do with Faith’s Way ISR.

A little more about me, on a personal front - I’m born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, an only child and am lucky to call the people in my life my chosen family.  I’ve recently pulled off the bandaid and expedited my plans to live nomadically as I find my new homes in Europe and spend part of my time in England. I’m a certified personal trainer, who’s niche is actually in the clientele area of 60+, my eldest client is 84 years young and still very active!  But aside from this career, I saw ISR as an opportunity to work with the direct opposite end of the spectrum, the littles ones, and shaping their skills and behaviors at a young age to learn to be safe in the water and love it at the same time. I can’t remember how I learned to swim but I do remember always loving being in the pool and ocean, spending hours swimming during my summer breaks, and even as an adult I am very spiritually connected to the water/ocean.

I’d love to travel wherever there is a need for ISR and can’t wait to start in the communities I’m connected to in the places I am calling home. ISR is life changing for families and I can’t wait to bring these skills to more families in NYC, England and hopefully in other countries very soon!

Not one more child drowns.
