Keep your family safe!

Give your child the competence, confidence and skills of aquatic safety with ISR Self-Rescue® program, the safest provider of swimming lessons for infants and young children, starting at 6 months old. For over 45 years, ISR’s hands-on instruction technique has been researched and developed to offer a proven method for safely teaching your child the skills needed to confidently enjoy time in and around the water, while also learning skills to keep them safe. The sooner the safer!

Survival swimming lessons offered by ISR are an invaluable investment in your child’s safety and well being, in addition to your own peace of mind.

What Your Child Will Learn...

ROLL-BACK-TO-FLOAT:

Ages 6-12 Months
(Infants who are able to sit up independently are developmentally ready to begin lessons)

Your child is gently introduced to the water by your Instructor. As each child reacts differently, your Instructor will work with your child to guide them through the lesson process and to build a level of trust and comfort in the water.  Once this is established, your child will begin to learn how to roll-back-to-float and…

  •  To hold their breath underwater

  •  To roll onto their back to float unassisted, rest and breathe until help arrives

  •  To perform ISR's Self-Rescue skills first in a swim diaper, then while fully clothed

**ISR Lessons: All NEW Students attend lessons Monday-Friday for approximately 6 - 7 weeks (Maximum 10 minute lesson/day)

**Returning students meet for Refresher Lessons (1-2 weeks) or Maintenance lessons (2-6x a month)

SWIM-FLOAT-SWIM:

Ages 1-6 Years
(Once your child is walking, they are developmentally ready to learn the SFS sequence)

You've seen it before; your toddler walks right to the edge of the pool, ready to jump in, whether or not you are there to catch them. Their confidence is beyond their skills. ISR training for children between 1 and 6 years of age uses their confidence to help them build competence and the skills for survival.

  • To hold their breath underwater

  • To SWIM with their head down

  • Roll onto their back to float, rest, and breathe then flip back over to resume swimming.

  • To perform these survival swimming skills first in a swim suit, then while fully clothed. With ISR's Self-Rescue skills your child will be able to swim independently and learn to move at their own pace toward the safety of the side of the pool or the shores of a pond or lake.

*Note: Able to work with children older than 6 years old, please inquire.
